We created KIR for our own children because we wanted a simple, trustworthy way to help them understand what's happening in the world.

Too often, current events are either ignored, overly complex, or driven by algorithms. We wanted something different: clear, age-appropriate news that informs without overwhelming.

Each edition covers the biggest stories—along with lighter, uplifting ones—because the world isn't all bad news.

Our goal isn't to tell young people what to think. It's to give them the context they need to think for themselves. We hope KIR sparks great conversations at home, whether that's over breakfast, on the way to practice, or whenever you find a few minutes together.

We write every edition with the perspective of a parent—not an algorithm.
